The funding fee is not owed by every veteran
VA publishes a funding-fee schedule for purchase loans. Borrowers VA recognizes as exempt, including many with a service-connected disability, do not pay it. Marking the exemption here sets the fee to zero. It does not prove that VA has granted the exemption.
A zero-down result is math, not an entitlement finding. Certificate of eligibility, residual income, and the property still matter.

Do VA loans have monthly PMI?
Not in this model. The cost modeled here is the funding fee, which can be financed, unless the exemption box is checked.
Which funding-fee rates are used?
First use with less than 5% down is 2.15%. Subsequent use at that down payment is 3.30%. At least 5% and under 10% is 1.50%. At least 10% is 1.25%. Confirm the current VA schedule.
